Dr. McKinstry is committed to helping your cats, dogs, and horses live better, happier and healthier lives.

Our office practices holistic and integrative medicine, employing the best of both Western and Eastern veterinary medicine. While we primarily practice Western medicine, we use Chinese medicine to enhance treatment if the doctor and owner agree it is the right course of treatment.

Dr. McKinstry holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Biology from Swarthmore College, a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine, a Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, and numerous certifications, such as with Tui Na medical massage, Chinese herbal therapy, veterinary food therapy, and more.

Using a combination of modalities, Dr. McKinstry has had success in treating a large variety of acute and chronic conditions.  She offers emergency care, wellness exams, conventional medical options, holistic treatment plans, herbal therapy, veterinary acupuncture, and more.

Dr. McKinstry's veterinary practice is located on a beautiful horse farm in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania about a mile from Longwood Gardens.  Her family-owned practice has a warm small-town atmosphere that makes animals actually like coming to this vet.
